Google user data

Providers sign in with Google and, as part of that sign-in, connect a Google Calendar so BeautyBookie can sync bookings and prevent double-booking. This uses two scopes:

• calendar.readonly — to read free/busy data across the provider's calendars.
• calendar.events — to create, update, and delete the specific booking events BeautyBookie places on the calendar the provider selects.

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are not shared with third parties beyond what's needed to operate calendar sync. Providers can revoke BeautyBookie's access at any time from their Google Account permissions, or by contacting support.

BeautyBookie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention

We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Google Calendar OAuth tokens are retained only while calendar sync is active and are deleted when a provider disconnects their calendar or account.

Your rights

You can review and update your account information at any time from your Account page. To request a copy of your data or to delete your account, contact hello@thebeautybookie.com — we'll respond within a reasonable time and delete or anonymize your data except where retention is required by law (e.g., completed transaction records).

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: an httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in, and an anonymous analytics identifier cookie (via Mixpanel) to understand how the site is used. We do not use these for cross-site advertising tracking. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits without cookies or personal data.

Children's privacy

BeautyBookie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@thebeautybookie.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.

Sharing

We share booking details with the matched provider, and use processors (Stripe, Quo, Cloudflare, Google) as needed to operate the service. We do not sell personal data.
